The Recovery Toolkit is a trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) programme designed to help you heal and grow after abuse. It’s suitable for you if you’re no longer in an abusive relationship and want to build confidence, self-awareness, and healthy relationship skills.

Over the 12-week course (excluding school half-term), you’ll learn lifelong tools and techniques to help you make positive, healthy choices in your relationships and everyday life.
You’ll explore topics such as:
-
Building self-esteem and using positive affirmations
-
The power of positive self-talk
-
Managing anger and conflict, and communicating assertively
-
Setting boundaries and rebuilding trust
-
Understanding healthy relationships
The Recovery Toolkit follows the NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines for treating trauma, ensuring you receive evidence-based, compassionate, supportive help.
It’s recommended that you attend the Freedom Programme first, as many people find it helps them get even more out of the Recovery Toolkit.
Please note that you’ll need to attend all sessions to get the full benefit of the programme.
